BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained three youths in the Qalqiliya village of Jayyus overnight Saturday, residents told Ma'an.
Soldiers seized the son of the village mayor Jala Tahir, 19, and the mayor and his wife were injured in the raid on their home, witnesses said, adding that Tahir's mother was taken to hospital.
Forces also detained Nadir Khreisha and Omar Khalid, both aged 24, during the house raids.
An Israeli army spokeswoman had no immediate reports of the incident.
A night earlier, forces raided the southern West Bank village of Harmala, near Bethlehem, and detained three brothers and another man, residents said.
Brothers Muath Wajih al-Zeir, 24, Mujahid, 23, and Khalid, 19, were seized in addition to Adel al-Zeir, 27, they told Ma'an.
