Israeli forces, on Tuesday, opened fire at local Palestinians in the town of Kobar in Ramallah, central occupied West Bank, wounding one young man with live rounds, a local official reported.

Izzat Badwan, Head of the local council, told Quds News Network that several Israeli military patrols tried to storm the town, when locals confronted them. This resulted in the Israeli army opening fire using live rounds, tear-gas and stun grenades.

Badwan stated that a young man in his thirties was shot by Israeli soldiers, and the young man was transferred to hospital.

The Palestine Information Center reported that the young man was shot in the abdomen, and that a Red Crescent crew evacuated the man to hospital, and others treated tear-gas inhalation injuries on the scene.

In another shooting incident, on Tuesday, Abdul Karim Abu Assab, 30, was shot by Israeli forces, in the leg with a live round, when he was close to the apartheid wall, near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, according to local sources.

Sources told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that the young man was transferred to hospital, and was reported to be in moderate condition.
