Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday at dawn, the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and surrounded a center run by the Palestinian Preventative Security Force before opening a barrage of live fire at it, wounding one officer and causing property damage.
Nablus Governor, Lieutenant Ibrahim Ramadan, said dozens of soldiers surrounded the Palestinian Preventative Security building in Nablus, and fired dozens of live rounds at it, wounding one officers, in addition to smashing many windows and causing damage to vehicles.
He added that the Israeli military claims about its soldiers coming under fire while invading an area near the security center are fabrications, and that this attack is not the first, and won’t be the last, especially amidst the current serious escalation against the Palestinians, their homes and lands.
The governor also stated that the army’s bullets were meant to kill, as the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds into the buildings through their windows, and many of their bullets struck various offices and dorms.
The soldiers later withdrew from the city, without abducting any of the officers, and fired many live rounds at random while driving away.

by Jack Khoury and Yaniv Kubovich for Haaretz | Jun 11, 2019 7:34 AM
An officer from the Palestinian security apparatus was lightly wounded early Tuesday during clashes with the Israeli army in the West Bank.
According to the Palestinians, Israel Defense Forces troops besieged a Palestinian Authority compound while carrying out arrests in Nablus.
During the arrests, skirmishes developed between the IDF and the security apparatus officers, prompting the Israeli force to open fire at the Palestinians.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said that Israeli security forces arrested overnight Monday 18 Palestinians suspected of terror activity and violent disturbances in the West Bank. The suspects have been transferred for further questioning.
The army added that during the arrests in Nablus, gunfire exchange developed between the troops and those identified by the force as the suspects, however, it was later transpired that they are part of the Palestinian security apparatus.
No casualties were reported on the Israeli side. The military launched an investigation into the incident.
As part of the security coordination between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Palestinian security officers do not intervene in arrests carried out by the Israeli army in order to prevent friction and not to be perceived as collaborating with Israel.
